About Us

History of the club

Strathclyde University Boat Club was founded in the late sixties by four members of Clydesdale Amateur Rowing Club who realised they were all at the same university and could thus race at university events in a coxed four. With University funds they purchased the boat now known as the Lady Valerie and began competing.
